Pool Tile Cleaning with a Professional

By:Staff - September 16, 2014

You’ll want to know what may get attached to your pool tile to make it dirty. When tiles appearance turns chalky, cloudy, or dirty, there are two things responsible. The first is mildew and the second is calcium.

Mildew

This is something that can be kept  under control by the proper regulation of your pool chemicals.  You should be checking  your chemical levels in your pool regularly. Not enough chlorine in the water will allow mildew to grow, while too much can bleach out your tiles.  If you notice a dark or discolored ring around your pool, then you really need to clean off that mildew.  Using a pool brush once a week can help with maintenance, but if it gets too out of hand you will need professional pool tile cleaning to take care of it.

Calcium

Calcium buildup occurs in most pools no matter what methods you use to prevent it because it. It dissolves from the pool plaster and creates a build-up on the tile. Calcium is not easy to remove, even though you may try to keep up with it on a daily basis.  This is where a professional pool cleaning company enters the picture.  They have equipment that will remove the calcium residue without causing harm or damage to your tiles.  They know the right kind of beads to use and the proper amount of air pressure to do the job right.  It is a good idea to schedule regular pool tile cleaning to keep the calcium at bay.  Understanding how pool tile cleaning works will help you make better decisions when you have your backyard swimming pool constructed.

Miami Pool Tech can help you keep your pool’s mildew and calcium build up from discoloring and damaging your tiles. Our record is unmatched. Because we take what we do seriously, our clients can focus on their day to day operations and not have to worry about their water quality.
